2024 Market Season

Well, March came in like a lamb, and let's hope it stays that way for the month.  We are now just four months away from the opening of the Ross Ferry Farm Gate Market.  No doubt, many of our vendors are gearing up, beginning with preparing beds, getting the greenhouses ready, and planting seeds for all those wonderful veggies that will soon be available for your eating and pleasure.  And don't forget the wonderful flower vendors as well!

We are looking forward to seeing all our regular customers, and many new ones as well throughout the summer.  This will be a great season, and there might even be a surprise or two in store; be sure to check back here and on our Facebook page for updates.

The planning committee is busy getting organized for the year and will soon be recruiting for new vendors to join our route. If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in joining us, please get in touch for more details.

We'll see you all at the first Pop-Up market to kick off the season on July 1 at the Ross Ferry Marine Park, and on subsequent Sunday afternoons!

Gardening

Our Market

The aim of the market is twofold: to encourage the use and production of local food; and, to foster a spirit of community by providing an opportunity to bring people together for social interaction and community building.

Many of our producers and makers live on the Kempt Head Road and their products are homegrown and homemade.

Our market is both a destination and an experience. Vendors can be found scattered along the Kempt Head Road at their farm gates. Our sister organization, The Ross Ferry Marine Park, has their Sunday BBQ and sells french fries, hot dogs, water and pop. They also have washroom facilities.

Take your Sunday drive along the Kempt Head Road (between exits 13 and 15).
